Vanderveer Park and Conservatory

Forget the Quad Cities Botanic Gardens.   Vanderveer Park and Conservatory in Davenport   Iowa beats it in every way.  The Conservatory is filled with beautiful plants, a water garden, working greenhouse and is much more friendly and intimate.  There is a Plant Zoo with plants that have animal names and topiary.

The Rose garden is filled with award winners and is in bloom late spring until it freezes. There is a shade garden and day lily border.

The Conservatory is open to the public for a small charge, but is free on Tuesdays.  Be sure to visit the gift shop for that garden lover in your life.
